I’ve been trying to balance my “HEY, watch out for AGI!” posts with more everyday uses of AI (how am I doing?). When I hit publish on my post about how AI will accelerate under Trump a few weeks ago, a friend of mine (shoutout Nadine!) sent me a podcast called Astrology of the Week Ahead. The episode centred around Pluto moving out of Capricorn and how that will make the world MUCH better (Yay!). It also said that we should expect technology to be very prevalent in what happens in the world over the next few decades. Iiiinteresting.
I'll be honest – I never thought I'd be the person writing about using AI to map out celestial bodies and divine meaning from the stars. But there's something fascinating about using cutting-edge technology to practice one of humanity's oldest spiritual traditions.
Like many skeptics-turned-curious-observers, I've found myself drawn to astrology’s ability to make sense of the world. I have a lot of thoughts about why (and why I’ve noticed that astrology seems to be gaining popularity / trending these days), but I’ll save that for another time.
I started using AI to generate detailed star charts and horoscopes a few months ago because I saw an opportunity to explore how technology might help me to understand my desire to find patterns in chaos.
Why AI astrology is actually amazing
First, let's acknowledge the elephant in the room: using AI to create astrological charts feels a bit like asking a robot to write poetry about human emotions. But what I’m asking of the AI is to process vast amounts of astronomical data and astrological traditions, revealing patterns we might not otherwise see.
Plus, it's fun. There's a certain thrill in watching AI grapple with concepts that are simultaneously mathematical (planetary positions) and deeply intuitive (their influence on our lives).
How to create your own AI star chart for 2025
Now, let me walk you through this process in a way that won't make you want to throw your computer out the window. I've broken it down into steps that even the most technology-averse among us can follow.
Step 1: Choose your AI tool
Start with ChatGPT-4 or Claude (they're the most capable for this task)
Open a new chat
Don't just jump in asking for a horoscope. We're going to be more strategic than that.
Step 2: Set up your personal data
1. Write down your:
Birth date
Birth time (as exact as possible)
Birth location
Current location
WARNING: Give these systems your personal information at your own risk. I did a star chart for myself, but you might want to research the risks of giving your personal info and data to AI before deciding to upload yours. (Or, get a friend to upload yours and upload your friend’s to yours.)
2. Think about any specific areas of life you want insights about for 2025
Step 3: The prompt
Here's your copy-paste worthy prompt (edit the bracketed parts):
I need a detailed astrological analysis for 2025 based on the following data:
Birth: [date] at [time]
Birth Location: [city, country]
Current Location: [city, country]
Focus areas: [list 2-3 areas of life you're interested in]
Please include:
Planetary positions affecting my chart
Major transits and their meanings
Monthly predictions
Specific dates of significance
Step 4: Refining your results
If the first response feels too generic, say: "Can you make this more specific to my birth chart?"
Ask for clarification about any astrological terms you don't understand
Request deeper dives into specific months or life areas
Step 5: Interpreting your results
Cross-reference different AI tools
Look for patterns in the predictions
Keep track of what resonates and what doesn't
Step 6: Use Notebook LM to create a podcast about your chart
Remember when I used Notebook LM to create a podcast about my resume? If your star chart is too much to read and digest, you can use the same tool to turn it into a podcast.
It's one thing to read about Jupiter transitioning through your house of creativity. It's another to hear someone break down what that means for you while you're on your morning commute or doing dishes.
Here’s your step-by-step guide:
Go to notebooklm.google.com
Create a New Notebook
Upload your star chart
Select Notebook Guide
Select Generate Audio Overview
That’s it! Just don't forget to add your own magic to the mix. After all, the best kind of AI-assisted content is the kind that injects humanity.

Elon Musk’s Grok AI blasts Elon Musk as huge spreader of misinformation (Futurism) Elon Musk’s Grok AI, designed as a “brash truth-teller,” has called out Musk himself for spreading misinformation, particularly around elections, with billions of views on misleading content. Despite his branding of the chatbot, Grok’s criticism underscores the irony of Musk’s unchecked use of X (formerly Twitter) for amplifying false narratives.
An A.I. granny is phone scammers’ worst nightmare (New York Times) Daisy Harris, an AI-powered "granny" created by the British telecom company O2, has emerged as an unconventional weapon against phone scammers. Armed with an endless supply of chatty tangents about tea, birds, and knitting, she ties up fraudsters' time, reducing their ability to target real victims. While Daisy may only slow scammers rather than halt their operations entirely, the approach highlights innovative uses of AI to tackle modern problems.
Investing and crypto expert: "We only have 6 years until everything changes" - Raoul Pal (Diary of CEO) Steven Bartlett interviews Raoul Pal about crypto and AI. The interesting thing here was Pal’s thoughts on how AI is going to change the world. AI stuff starts at the 93 minute mark.
Correction friends, on the last link. It's the 39 minute mark. Fun fact! You can't edit the newsletter after you hit publish.
